Emily Steele is a multidisciplinary artist and maker. Her work often explores what it means to be human—bringing charm and intimacy to the mundane acts of everyday life, exploring the paths of the mind and memory, and providing a tribute for the traces left behind it all. She works primarily in metals, painting, and printmaking, although her practice tends to supersede the boundaries of medium. Throughout her work, her practice revolves heavily around process, for it grounds her to what it means to be an artist and a human, and she finds beauty and chaos within the act of making—an art of its own.

Originally from Telluride and raised in Boulder Colorado, she is currently based in Boston, attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts.
